Bereavement
In addition to the providers listed on this page, most faith congregations provide bereavement services for their members and others in their local communities. Westchester’s hospices all offer grief counseling and bereavement groups. It is not necessary to have had a family member enrolled in hospice to use their services.

Transportation
In addition to the services listed there, many of the Illness-Specific organizations provide volunteers who drive their clients to medical appointments. Several of the Aging-in-Place organizations offer rides to their members. Some of the Adult Day Care centers offer free rides to their sites for their clients. If you belong to a congregation, we also recommend contacting its pastoral care office to learn if rides can be offered on a one-time or regular basis by a staff member or fellow congregation member.
